Wine AdvocateThe NV (2002) Inflorescence Blanc de Noirs La Parcelle offers a remarkable combination of power, structure and transparency. Layers of crisp apples, pears, spices and flowers all come together in this contemplative, utterly spellbinding wine. Floral, perfumed notes ring out on the gorgeous, creamy finish, adding further complexity. The balance and overall harmony here are simply impeccable. This 100% 2002 Pinot Noir from the La Parcelle vineyard in Celles-sur-Ource spent 80 months on the lees. La Parcelle is the only wine in this range not actually made by Bouchard, rather it is a wine he found already made when he purchased this particular vineyard a few years ago. Nevertheless, it is magnificent. A recent bottle of the 2001 more than lived up to the praise I bestowed upon it last year. Disgorged: April 16, 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020.
