For this wine, Sauvignon Blanc is always the dominate grape. Chardonnay is used for body; Orbois is used to soften the wine as well as to heighten the perfume. This wine is has a fresh, delicate nose with notes of white flowers, peach and cassis.

Signorello Padrone 2010Aromas of coffee, raspberry creme, and dark chocolate arise from the glass. Second aromas of fresh tilled soil and black cherries add to the complex nose. On the palate, the rich mouth-feel is layered with flavors, raspberries, and dark chocolate. Toasty oak and a touch of vanilla enhance the well integrated tannins and impressive length. This is a balanced wine with power and grace.
Domaine Pascal Aufranc Chénas Vignes de 1939 2013Dark garnet robe with blue tints. The nose is displaying black fruits and spicy notes such as cinnamon. A very round and generous palate marked with soft tannins and a long and bright finish. To pair with red meat, wild games cooked with a mushroom sauce, pâté and charcuterie, goat cheese.
Ridge Vineyards Three Valleys 2014Despite a dry winter, late spring rains carried the vines to harvest. Reduced yields and a warm summer quickly ripened the crop. Long, slow fermentations finished sugar, while extracting significant tannin. Barreling down early gave this vintage more time in wood than any thus far. Appealing now, it will be most enjoyable over the next five years.
