The wine makes a stunning first impression with an elegant color that is brilliant and deep, aromas that are lightly woody yet distinguished, and fruity impressions in the mouth that are flavorful and promising. It's best to approach this vintage with the prudence suitable for a very young wine that is far from developing its full aromatic maturity. Still, you needed't wait long to discover its complex mariage of power and finesse in the glass, with perfectly developed tannins, a juicy fullness typical of Saint-Emilion, and a long aromatic finish which is the sign of a great classed growth.

Ripe Bing cherries, mulberries, spicy oak, new leather, and candied violet notes all emerge from the 2019 Château Grand Corbin, a rich, medium to full-bodied, Merlot-dominated Saint-Emilion that has the vintage's pure, balanced, classic style. It shows more minerality and truffly, herbal notes as it sits in the glass and is a beautiful example of the balance and finesse coming from Saint-Emilion these days.
