David Sterza Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2011
|Region||Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella|
Red wine of large importance, full-bodied, intense and elegant. The word "Amarone" was born in the eighteenth century when was necessary to identify a wine produced from raisin grapes, like the Recioto, but with organoleptic properties that were totally different.
Pressed violet, baked plum, baking spice and coconut emerge on the nose and carry over to the full-bodied palate along with ripe black cherry and licorice. Tightly packed but refined tannins provide firm support.
